Summer 2026

Our Next Journey Begins Soon

Our next Turtle Island NAIDs litter is expected July 2026, born to Chenoa and N’Shee, a truly exceptional pairing known for their beauty, intelligence, strong genetics, and remarkable trainability. Both parents represent the temperament, stability, and structure we strive to preserve within the Native American Indian Dog Preservation Project (NAIDPP). These puppies will be raised with intention, early socialization, and careful attention to development. Because we keep our program small and focused on quality, availability is very limited, and families interested in this special litter are encouraged to apply early for placement consideration.

The Turtle Island NAIDs Approach to Preservation Breeding

Turtle Island NAIDs approaches preservation breeding with discipline, restraint, and long-term responsibility. We do not breed for numbers or trends—we breed to protect the integrity of the Native American Indian Dog through intentional pairings, genetic verification, comprehensive health testing, sound structure, and steady, balanced temperament. Our puppies are raised in a structured, pack-centered environment that builds confidence and resilience from the very beginning. To us, preservation is stewardship—making choices today that will echo forward for generations. As active members of the Native American Indian Dog Preservation Project (NAIDPP), we follow established standards and stand within a unified network committed to safeguarding the living legacy of this ancient companion of Turtle Island.

Health and Preservation
Standards

NAIDPP health and preservation standards guide responsible breeding decisions through genetic verification, comprehensive health screening, and long-term stewardship focused on the integrity of the Native American Indian Dog.

Stewardship & Ethical Placement

Stewardship within the NAIDPP extends beyond breeding to include intentional, responsible placement. Each dog is thoughtfully matched with a home committed to its lifelong care, temperament, and well-being. Through education, transparency, and continued breeder support, we safeguard both the future of the dog and the integrity of the Native American Indian Dog.

NAID History

The Native American Indian Dog carries a history that stretches back thousands of years, shaped by partnership with Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island. It’s a story of purpose, loss, and preservation—one that continues today.

Meet Our Pack

Our breeding dogs are the foundation of everything we do. Each one is carefully selected for stable temperament, strong structure, working intelligence, and genetic integrity—not just appearance. They are genetically verified, health tested, and evaluated for sound hips, elbows, eyes, and overall longevity before ever contributing to our program. Just as important, they live as part of our pack and family, not in kennels—raised and kept in a natural, structured pack environment where behavior, confidence, and balance can be observed daily. We make breeding decisions with long-term preservation in mind, protecting diversity and reducing inbreeding while honoring the purpose these dogs were meant to serve. Our breeding dogs are not just producers—they are guardians of the future of the Native American Indian Dog.
