Stewardship & Ethical Placement

Thoughtful evaluation, intentional matching, and lifelong responsibility guide every placement we make.

Temperament Evaluation & Placement Insight

Every placement is guided by intentional temperament evaluation and daily observation within our pack. From birth, we study each puppy’s confidence, resilience, energy, and social instincts to understand their natural strengths. By combining structured evaluation with hands-on experience raising them, we thoughtfully match each puppy to the home where they will thrive. Our priority is long-term preservation and partnership — ensuring every dog is placed with purpose, not preference.

Intentional Matching, Not First-Come Placement

Stewardship means placing puppies with intention, not urgency. Homes are selected based on lifestyle, experience, environment, and expectations, with careful consideration given to the needs of both the dog and the family. This approach prioritizes long-term success over convenience, helping ensure each placement is stable, respectful, and aligned with the dog’s temperament and purpose.

Lifelong Support & Shared Responsibility

Ethical placement does not end at pickup. We remain a lifelong resource for every family, offering guidance, education, and support as the dog grows and matures. Stewardship within the NAIDPP framework recognizes that responsibility is shared — between breeder and owner — to protect the welfare of each dog and uphold the integrity of the Native American Indian Dog for generations to come.

Puppy Placement Process

1

Application & Reservation Process

Every placement begins with an application. We take our responsibility to these dogs seriously, and the application allows us to understand your lifestyle, experience, and goals. If we feel you are a strong match for our program and one of our upcoming litters, we will reach out to begin a conversation.

Once approved, a deposit is required to reserve your place on our waitlist for the upcoming litter. Your deposit secures your position and allows us to begin preparing intentionally for your future puppy.

2

Early Development

From the earliest days of life, our puppies follow a structured early development program aligned with NAIDPP preservation standards. We implement Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), intentional handling, thoughtful environmental enrichment, and pack-based social learning to strengthen resilience, confidence, adaptability, and emotional stability while honoring the natural instincts and working heritage of the Native American Indian Dog. Our goal is to develop balanced, capable dogs who reflect the integrity, purpose, and future of the breed.

3

Matching & Going Home

We use temperament evaluation, observation, and our daily experience with each puppy to determine the best possible match for both the family and the dog. Our goal is long-term success. Puppies go home at eight weeks of age, confident, socially grounded, and prepared for their transition. By the time they leave us, they have been intentionally raised, carefully evaluated, and thoughtfully matched to ensure the strongest possible start for their new life and success in their walk through life.
